ABOUT ME
Hello and thank you for visiting Geoscience Books. My name is Phillip Huber and I am a geologist by training, having worked for various museums of natural history in the capacity of both employee and consultant Currently I am finishing up a masters degree in education but remain very active in geological and paleontological research and field work. Most of my interests concern the fossils, rocks and chronologies (i. e. various time-scales) of the late Triassic and early Jurassic Periods with focus on nonmarine depositional environments. Most of field areas are located in the Newark Supergroup basins of eastern North America, and also in age-equivalent strata in West Texas, eastern New Mexico and on the Colorado Plateau in the southwestern United States.
I have been selling rare, antiquarian and used
geology and natural history books for ten years
and bring to this endeavor a wealth of experiences
and knowledge gained from my more, hands-on
geological studies.  I know the literature and have
a solid grounding in the history of geology and
paleontology as a science. I can read through
the technical literature to ensure that a possible
title of interest does indeed suite your specific
needs. Also, as a teacher, I can recommend
less-technical publications that might be of
more ready interest to the non-specialist.
Whatever your interests are in geology and
natural history books, please always feel free to
send me an e-mail if you are looking for a book(s)
or just have a general question about geology!
